so when Alfred Hitchcock made psycho in 1960 he finished the movie sent it to the rating company. The rating company told him you have to fix and make the shower knife scene a little less scary and bloody. Because the government wasn’t ready to allow anything in scary movies. So I fixed the scene. And then 10 years later two of the movies that came out that year did worse way worse than psycho in 1960 ever dead . The rated company said the government now allows anything in their movies. One of the movies was the The Exorcist R 1973 ‧ Horror/Mystery. Still today during that time in 1973 it’s labeled one the scariest movies ever made and some people say it’s so scary that still holds up today. We have now had six direct sequels and one standalone sequel. People say that original is still the scariest one of all the sequels. They also say at the original it’s so scary and no horror movie has ever got scarier the original movie some people today say that horror movies aren’t scary today and I I agree that statement. Some people say the ring is the modern day scariest movie and the recent decade. Also slasher films aren’t supposed to be scary. There’s just supposed to be someone killing multiple people in the movie with a knife or with other objects not really guns though some people say. That Halloween franchise is the slasher film film series still day. Some people also say Friday the 13th in Elm Street or else up there but Friday 13th and Elm Street people say they don’t hold up today they said they’re cheesy graphics and not scary but they say Halloween franchise on the first one to reboot and the sequels still hold up today also the modern day slasher films are scream what did you do last summer it A couple other ones what is your last summer franchise had us cliffhanger at the end of the last one in 1999 I believe that’s correct date but now coming out in July 2025 they are taking off where the cliffhanger ended 20 years ago almost 30 three of the original cast members are coming back thanks for listening to the story
